Introducing Getting Traction with Mobile Robots Podcast

A new podcast from America In Motion designed to help manufacturers make smarter automation decisions.

Getting Traction with Mobile Robots Podcast

On July 28, America In Motion officially launches Getting Traction with Mobile Robots, a new educational podcast focused on helping manufacturers navigate the world of AGVs and mobile robot automation.

Every other Tuesday, we'll sit down with industry experts, engineers, software specialists, and automation leaders to answer the questions manufacturers are already asking—from ROI and software selection to implementation risks, integration challenges, and long-term system success.

Why We Started The Getting Traction with Mobile Robots Podcast

If you're evaluating automation today, there's no shortage of information available.

The challenge isn't finding information—it's finding information you can trust.

Manufacturers are often asked to make major decisions about AGVs, software platforms, fleet management, integration, safety, and scalability long before they feel fully informed. At the same time, the automation industry is filled with marketing claims, technical jargon, and conflicting advice.

We created Getting Traction with Mobile Robots to provide something different: practical conversations that help automation buyers better understand the realities of deploying mobile robots.

Our goal isn't to sell. Our goal is to educate.

What You'll Learn

Each episode explores real-world topics that impact automation projects, including:

  • What AGV systems actually cost

  • Understanding automation ROI

  • Open vs. closed software systems

  • Fleet management and interoperability

  • Integration and IT considerations

  • Training and workforce adoption

  • Automation project risks

  • Lessons learned from real implementations

Whether you're beginning your automation journey or expanding an existing fleet, we'll focus on providing practical insights you can use to make more informed decisions.

A Conversation With the Experts Who Build These Systems

The podcast is hosted by AIM Marketing Manager Emily Gregory and features conversations with the people who design, deploy, support, and operate mobile robot systems every day.

Our first episodes feature AIM leaders Tommy Hessler and Terri Blasius discussing topics including AGV system costs, software ownership, and the decisions that shape successful automation projects.

Join Us on July 28

The first episode of Getting Traction with Mobile Robots launches Tuesday, July 28, with new episodes released every other Tuesday.

If you're exploring AGVs, mobile robots, or material handling automation, we invite you to join the conversation and submit questions for future episodes.

Because the more you understand automation, the more confidently you can implement it.
